The Grandeur of the sky

With the recent chapter that I read, I think that it really brings me back to my child hood. I agree with the writer in that people are immortalized when they have significant achievements relating to the air. We can all relate to the author when he says that we all dream of flying. When I was younger I would always close my eyes and envision myself soaring through the clouds. The wind would be rushing through my jacket and I would be crying out in exhilaration. I now understood even more why superheroes like superman and Iron Man are so glorified in popular culture. They have absolutely conquered the air, which back then was considered a final frontier, they can soar through at unimaginable speeds, provoking images of an idyllic childhood. It’s also symbolic in a way. Since these heroes can fly so high in the air, they encourage other people to look up to them. The higher these heroes fly, the higher ordinary people want to get, in order to emulate them.
